About Our Owner
Troy Radford, the founder and CEO of Radford Manufacturing Inc., began his manufacturing career by helping in his dad’s garage machine shop at age 16. He also worked as a welder at Alamo Machine in Fort Worth while he attended high school. After completing his studies, Troy served in the United States Marine Corps, graduating top in his class as an aviation machinist. It is there that he learned to work on all aircraft types, including some of the first jets to enter military service.
After his career in the Marine Corps, Troy returned to Fort Worth and Alamo Machine as a machinist. He then became friends with the General Manager and fellow employee, JR Mooney. The two of them left the company to start Mooney Engineering, where they designed and built automated machinery for various industries. They went from working in a garage with just the two of them to having a large facility with over 60 employees.
In 1980, Troy felt it was time to start his own business after being part of a successful start-up. It was then that Radford Manufacturing Inc. was born. Over 40 years later, the company has grown and is now located in a 12,000+ sq. ft. modern facility.
Radford Manufacturing Inc. uses the latest generation of CNC equipment and provides a skilled labor force that is committed to total quality. Troy and the rest of the team strive to provide excellent products and services to our customers.
Through innovative solutions and a focus on quality, we can meet the challenge of producing high-precision and complex machined parts and assemblies on time and at affordable prices. Because of this, Radford Manufacturing Inc. has been recognized and has received awards for excellent performance for major long-term manufacturing and assembly programs with the defense munitions industry.
